Fat Joe is clearly one of Hip Hop’s elder statesmen but that doesn’t mean he wants to be called “unc.”
He spoke about it during a Live Stream, and said other names are OK but not that one.

“Do me a favor, man. Don’t unc me,” said Joe. “You could do OG. ‘Yo wassup, OG?’ You know this, that. Don’t unc me. You know they try to unc me.”
If you’re an older Hip Hop head or OG, do you mind being called “unc” or a similar name?
