After premiering on iHeartRadio, Ronald Isley and Beyoncé have officially shared their remake of “Make Me Say It Again, Girl (Part 1 & 2).”

First premiering on iHeartRadio earlier this week, Ronald Isley and Beyoncé‘s remake of “Make Me Say It Again, Girl” is officially on streaming platforms. The original song, “Make Me Say It Again, Girl (Part 1 & 2)” comes from The Isley Brothers’ 1975 album The Heat Is On, while the legendary group’s next album is set to release next month.

The single also marks Bey’s latest since releasing “Break My Soul” from her seventh album Renaissance which released on July 29. Along with Renaissance reaching #1 on the Billboard 200, “Break My Soul” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, becoming the singer’s first number-one solo hit on the chart in 14 years, per Variety.

In a recent Billboard interview, Isley spoke about pairing up with the Renaissance singer last year for “Make Me Say It Again, Girl.”

“I’d met and talked to Beyoncé when she was just getting started with Destiny’s Child. When we began recording our new album out here [Los Angeles] last year, the idea of working with Beyoncé was one of the first things I thought about,” he said. “She worked on this just about the whole last year in between recording her own album, doing her vocals for this while she was in the Hamptons.”

Isley’s wife, Kandy, added that Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson was influential in securing the collaboration.

“She has a love for the Isley Brothers and her daughter grew up listening to this type of music. All we can say is that God’s hands was on this whole project. And the fact that they are giving us permission to put it out at this time is just overly special,” she said.
