Last year, Eric Holder was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Nipsey Hussle and was facing up to life in prison.

He got his sentence today and it’s a bit short of that.

The judge gave him 60 years.  That’s 25 years for the murder, 25 more for a firearm sentencing enhancement, and 10 for assault with a firearm.  He will get credit for the four years he’s already served.

Holder shot Nipsey to death in front of Nip’s The Marathon Continues store in Crenshaw on March 31, 2019.

Holder hit Nipsey almost a dozen times with a black semiautomatic in one hand and a silver revolver in the other and left him to die in the parking lot.

The initial theory on the murder was that Holder, who like Nipsey was a Rollin 60 Crip, shot Nip to death because the rapper and entrepreneur suggested he was a snitch.  However, prosecutors were able to argue there was pre-existing jealousy — and that led to premeditation and a first-degree murder conviction.
