An Australian artist made a hand-drawn portrait of Kanye West by repeatedly writing his name. The the artist, who goes by the handle @alx.n.ria, posted a video on Saturday (January 18) highlighting the creation process for the artwork.

The clip begins with her writing out Kanye’s name using a pen on a blank sheet of paper. This is followed by more writing over presumably several hundred notations of his name, before the portrait is revealed in full.

In the caption, the artist showed love for the music icon and subject of her work, saying, “WORD • KANYE #kanyewest ~ Kanye is a legend.”

Following the video, the artist posted an image showcasing the finished portrait once more in all its glory.

“IM NOW TAKING PRE-ORDERS FOR LIMITED EDITION PRINTS of Kanye West,” she wrote in the caption. “DM me if you would like one!”

She added her appreciation for her newfound fans, saying, “Thanks again for all of the support!! Will be responding to all your messages shortly! #kanyewest”

While many followers acknowledged the young artist’s skill with the pen, others reacted by tagging Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian and mother-in-law Kris Jenner. It’s not clear whether the portrait has graced Kanye’s eyes yet but @dominicanprince said, “I think Kanye West himself would want to purchase this!”

The artist has made several other portraits of Hip Hop contemporaries using her name-writing approach, including Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky. Her profile says she’s “working on a series that (she’ll) be posting end of 2020.”
