Noname and J Cole had issues a few years back.

J. Cole didn’t like that Noname called out rappers like him and Kendrick Lamar for not doing more in the aftermath of George Floyd. So he called out her tone in his track “Snow On Tha Bluff.”

She fired back on the track “song 33.”

“But n*ggas in the back quiet as a church mouse
Basement studio when duty calls to get the verse out,” she rapped.

According to Noname, they’ve since squashed their beef.

“I wouldn’t say [J. Cole] was necessarily wrong. I think we both could have went about it in a better way… We both could have done better. I’m like, ‘Bro, I’m only on Twitter, I’m not even talking about you. It’s tweets, I thought you wasn’t on Twitter,” she told Complex. “I had a block party this past summer and I was hitting him to see if he could pull up on some special guest sh*t, and he was really about it. He wasn’t able to because he’s a father with children, but he was down to donate.”
