Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild will face off for a special Valentine’s Day version of Verzuz.

Verzuz has announced its next match up will feature two R&B legends. On February 15th, Anthony Hamilton will be facing off against Musiq Soulchild. The matchup will be going down on February 15th, a day after Valentine’s Day. (So you and and your boo can enjoy dinner one night, head to a really cool R&B show the next night.)

The matchup will be going down at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, with CIROC  providing cocktails for the night.

Verzuz has been a little pickier with its matchups. This is the first Verzuz of 2022 and the last one to occur since December 2nd, when Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia faced off at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. (If you remember, that night featured a tense moment where Bizzy Bone almost started fighting Three 6 Mafia.)

Before that, there was a Verzuz that featured iconic R&B singers Chaka Khan and Stephanie Mills, which went down at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in LA.

We are going on two years of Verzuz, and Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’ baby is still an overwhelming success. The two producers have been able to pivot the series from Instagram battles to a live event with thousands of fans. We have come a long way from The Dream clowning Sean Garrett on Instagram Live and Teddy Riley having shoddy internet.

Hamilton vs. Soulchild is going down on February 15th. Buy tickets here.
