Charlamagne Tha God brought up rumors about JT dating Lil Uzi Vert, asking her if she broke up with him during the City Girls’ appearance on The Breakfast Club. JT was caught off guard by the question and even began giggling as she denied the two were ever an item.
“I did not,” she insisted. “I didn’t break up with him. We never was … What the fuck is wrong with you?”
Charlamagne and DJ Envy pointed out how JT was blushing while Angela Yee noticed Yung Miami was stone-faced during the exchange. Yee’s comment made Miami crack a smile and react to the radio hosts.
“Y’all is trouble, The Breakfast Club,” Miami said.
JT added, “I didn’t break up with nobody. That’s the only thing. I didn’t break up with him.”

But Charlamagne kept probing, asking if Uzi just liked her if they were never together.
“It’s not like that!” JT responded. “It’s like the internet blow up everything. The internet blows up everything. I ain’t gonna lie.”
She noted, “We good. We cool. Me and him cool. It ain’t no beef.”

According to Charlamagne, he only asked the questions about Uzi because executives at City Girls’ label, Capitol Records, told him not to do it.
“I Have A Confession,” he wrote on Instagram. “I only brought up Lil Uzi because Capitol Record execs asked me not to. If a label rep ask me not to do something it’s a 99% chance I’m going to do it. Also if I had a dollar for every time someone said to me ‘What The Fuck Is Wrong With Charlamagne??’ Also Also I fuck with the @citygirls.”
