When 50 Cent was a young up-and-comer, he wore designer duds to show he was a success.

He doesn’t do that anymore.

Here’s 50 explaining why he rarely wears name brands these days, and when he does, he doesn’t pay.

“For me, at this point, I don’t get excited about it because I understand the production costs of it.  The information changes it for me.  I’m like this is an $8 shirt they selling it to me for $89 because of the names on it.  I’m 50 Cent.  I make it cool.  Somebody’s going to buy because they see me wearing it.  So now tell ’em I said send it to me for free or I’m not going to wear it,” Fif explained.
