Beyonce’s album act ii: Cowboy Carter dropped last night to much fanfare.

According to HitsDailyDouble, the project should do north of 350K in its first week.

That would top the 332K Beyonce’s last album, Renaissance, did in the first week.  (Cowboy Carter has 11 more tracks than its predecessor, which juices the first-day streaming numbers.)

The album will open number one and have the biggest first week of 2024, topping the 250K Metro Boomin and Future just put up.

That designation will be short-lived. Taylor Swift’s new album is coming in a few weeks, and the question isn’t whether she will beat Bey’s number but by how many times she will top it.
