YNW Melly has been locked up without bail since February of 2019 on charges that he killed his crewmates YNW Juvy and YNW Sackchaser in 2018.
Melly’s first trial began in June 2023 but ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
The state of Florida immediately decided to try him again, and Melly remained in jail.
He will remain there until at least next year.
Melly’s lawyers have asked the state to delay his trial until 2026, citing physical and mental health issues.
