Lil Durk is facing federal charges of murder for hire.

A conviction could lead to the death penalty.

In Smurk’s case, it won’t.

Today, the Justice Department instructed the US Attorneys trying Durk not to seek the death penalty for Durk’s role in the murder of Quanto Rondo’s cousin.

Even if Durk had been sentenced to the death penalty, it’s unlikely he would have faced the gas chamber.

The Feds have only pulled the trigger on 50 executions since 1927
