After keeping his feelings on Will Smith in for a year, Chris Rock opened up during his “Selective Outrage” Netflix special.

He suggested Will slapped him on the Oscar stage last March because he was bitter about Jada cheating on him with August Alsina and added many other not-nice things about Will.

According to a source who talked to Entertainment Tonight, Smith didn’t watch the special, but he’s been told what Rock said and he’s read comments about it.

“Will is embarrassed and hurt by what Chris said about him and his family in his Netflix special.  He didn’t watch it, but he had people tell him what Chris said,” the source said. “Will apologized to Chris and would like for Chris to let it go.”

The source added that Smith thinks it was “distasteful” for Netflix to air the special.
