Daft Punk also announced a vinyl reissue of Homework and a reissue of Alive ’97.

This time last year, Daft Punk announced that they were splitting up. And even if they still aren’t together, the duo still has some cool stuff up their sleeves.

They just announced that starting at 2:22 PT — on 2/22/22 — the duo will air a one time stream of a rare 1997 concert. What makes this recording cool is that this performance happened before they began wearing helmets. The stream is happening on Twitch right now.

The live show was filmed in LA, at the Mayan Theater on December 17th 1997. The date was part of Daftendirektour, the first concert tour by Daft Punk. This was also the tour the duo recorded their live album, Alive ’97, on.

The duo also announced that they are doing a vinyl reissue of their debut album, Homework. for its 25th anniversary. There will also be digital release for Homework coming to DSP.  The deluxe version contains 15 remixes from the original album, with nine remixes unreleased on DSPs.

Homework and a reissue of Alive ’97 on vinyl will be back in stores worldwide on April 15th and can be preordered on February 22nd.

Last year, Daft Pubkannounced they were splitting with an eight-minute video titled “Epilogue,” which shows members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo donning their iconic robot suits and walking through what appears to be a desert, before one activates a self-destruct button on the other’s suit, leading to him blowing up. The video is excerpted from their 2006 film Electroma.
