Trugoy, one of the founder members of the legendary Hip Hop group De La Soul has died at the age of 54.

A cause of death has not been disclosed.

Trugoy, born avid Jude Jolicoeur, was noticeably absent during last week’s Grammys Hip Hop tribute which featured his bandmate Posdnuos.

Trugoy founded Del La Soul with Posdnuos and Maseo as high school students in Long Island and went on to release nine albums between 1989 and 2016.

Trugoy is also known for his verse on the Gorillaz smash hit “Feel Good Inc”.
