Erykah Badu, Nas, and The Roots, Thundercat, and more will be performing at the Smokin Grooves Festival.

It’s a good time to be a neo-soul lover. On Tuesday, November 30th, the Smokin Grooves Festival announced the lineup for an epic neo-soul festival coming to Los Angeles. And if you’re a fan of Okayplayer, the lineup features every artist you love.

Headlining the one day festival are three legends: Erykah Badu, Nas, and The Roots. There will also be performances from other legends like Roy Ayers, Musiq Soulchild, India.Arie, Macy Gray, Angie Stone, Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Slum Village, Bilal, and more

The festival isn’t just all legacy artists, however. There are a bunch of contemporary neo-soul artists performing, including Smino, Sir, The internet, Flying Lotus, Phony Ppl, Thundercat, Miguel, Jhené Aiko, and more.

Smokin Grooves Festival will go down at the LA State Historic Park on Saturday, March 19th, beating out the other major R&B festival happening next year — Lovers and Friends — by nearly two months. (The 2022 Lovers and Friends festival is happening in Las Vegas and will be highlighted by Usher, Ludacris, and Lil Jon; Ms. Lauryn Hill; and TLC.)

The presale for the Smokin Grooves Festival will kick off on Friday, Dec. 3 at 10 am PT. Remaining tickets available will go on sale to the general public later that day (at 2 pm PT) and general admission tickets will start at $185 while VIP tickets begin at $400.
