In June, The Notorious B.I.G. will be commemorated with a box set celebrating the 25th anniversary of his 1997 final album Life After Death.

The legacy of The Notorious B.I.G. is being celebrated yet again. On Wednesday, Bad Boy Records, Rhino Records and Atlantic Records teamed up for yearlong campaign called Sky’s The Limit: A Year Celebrating The Legacy of The Notorious B.I.G. The campaign marks the forthcoming celebration of Biggie’s 50th birthday on May 21st along his sophomore and final album, Life After Death, which released in 1997.

According to Billboard, the three record labels will kick-off the 25th Life After Death anniversary on March 25th with a series of online events. Select videos on Biggie’s YouTube channel will be upgraded and an enhanced digital version of his 1997 album will be released to streaming platforms.

On June 10th, a 25th anniversary 8-LP deluxe version of Life After Death will be released for $179.98. The box set will include a booklet of rare photos from the album cover shoot, notes from music critic Sheldon Pearce and exclusive commentary from the team who assisted with the original Life After Death release. The album box set will also have vinyl singles; “Hypnotize” 12-inch, “Mo Money Mo Problems” 12-inch, “Sky’s the Limit” 12-inch and “Nasty Boy” 12-inch.

On AMC Networks’ WEtv later this year, Biggie’s death will be explored in 8-part unscripted series Hip Hop Homicides. Hosted by Van Lathan, the hip-hop anthology was co-created by 50 Cent and Mona Scott-Young.

“50 and I created this show in response to the disturbing number of murders in hip-hop. With this boots-on-the-ground investigative series, we will look to closely examine and explore leads surrounding these cases with the hope of finally providing loved ones with answers,” Scott-Young told Deadline.

The 25th anniversary Life After Death boxset is now available for pre-order.
