The Alchemist has released the first single from his upcoming This Thing of Ours EP.

Legendary producer The Alchemist is on the hottest streak of his career. Earlier this week, the hall-of-fame producer announced that he was releasing This Thing of Ours Vol. 2 on October 8th. The EP is the sequel to the first project, which was released earlier in the year.

The first single from the project is a collaboration with North Carolina rapper Mavi. The song, called “Miracle Baby,” features a stunning video — directed by Daniel Reagan — that looks like it was shot by Terrence Malick.

This Thing of Ours Vol. 2 will feature appearances from Vince Staples, Danny Brown, Mike, Zelooperz, and more. This EP will be the seventh The Alchemist has produced entirely by himself over the last two years. Those projects include classics like Freddie Gibbs’ Alfredo and Boldy James’ The Price of Tea in China

This year, Alchemist produced Armand Hammer’s latest album, Haram, and the followup to Price of Tea in China, Bo Jackson. Outside of those projects, Alchemist has produced songs for the likes of AZ, Denzel Curry, Action Bronson, Schoolboy Q, Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn, Eminem, and more.

As for Mavi, the last time we’ve seen him was earlier this year, when he dropped his excellent End of the Earth EP. (If you haven’t, please listen to “Time Travel.”
