As the YNW Melly murder trial continues, prosecutors may have produced their most damning piece of evidence against the young rapper.
They have text messages in which they say Melly admitted to killing his crewmates, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.

“I did that,” Melly typed. “Shhhhh.”
There’s not a lot of context here, so it’s possible his defense will be able to show that the texts don’t mean with the prosecution thinks they mean.
Sakchaser and Juvy were shot to death in a vehicle that Melly and his co-defendant were also in. While Melly has claimed his crewmates were victims of a driveby, forensic evidence suggests the bullets came from inside the car.
Melly faces the death penalty if convicted.
