Prosecutors say the teen’s father, Freddie Lee Trone, drove the getaway car, and his wife, Shauntel Trone, was arrested for being an accessory to the murder.
Their trial has begun, and we’ve already had a bombshell.
Yesterday, the judge ruled that the 17-year-old is unfit to stand trial because he lacks the mental competence to follow a criminal proceeding.
As the trial continues, the lawyers for Freddie Lee Trone, who is still on trial, will argue there is not enough evidence to convict him.
