Mysterious UK soul outfit Sault will make five of their albums available for free download for five days – but only if you have the password.

UK soul outfit Sault is making five of their albums available for free download — if fans can find the password to unlock them. On Tuesday (November 1), the mysterious group announced the ambitious release, sharing in a post one social media: “We will release 5 album’s on November 1st as an offering to God. Available for free download for 5 days the password to unlock all 5 albums is in the message.”

This announcement comes just weeks after the release of their latest EP, Angel. Produced by English musician Inflo, the three-part song features contributions from Jack Peñate and Chronixx. The project follows Sault’s surprise 2022 album Air, which released in April.

Like their latest promotion, Sault has unveiled past releases made available to fans within a certain amount of time. In 2021, their album NINE was made available for only 99 days, one year after the group emerged in the UK music scene. Mysterious in nature, the group members’ identities are unknown, although it’s speculated that they’re London-based, as Inflo has collaborated with Little Simz, Cleo Sol, Michael Kiwanuka, and other UK acts.

“I just think some people don’t like to be in the eye,” Simz told NME about Inflo in 2021. “Some people just want to make their art in quiet and don’t want interviews or shoots, and that’s cool. Music means something different for everyone, so you just have to respect it. He still gives you [the chance] to hear his art and his name rings in that he’s been part of amazing projects”.

Sault’s albums, which include (Untitled) God11AIIREarth, and Today & Tomorrow, can be accessed here by clicking the folder from now until November 6.
