Melle Mel and Lil Wayne were both unhappy with Billboard’s list of the greatest rappers

Melle Mel didn’t think that Kendrick Lamar (number two) and Eminem (five) deserved their spots.

Lil Wayne, who was ranked seventh, thought he should be a lot higher.

But Melle did not agree with Wayne.

During his chat with The Art of Dialogue, he explained why Weezy can’t be number one because people don’t even know his real voice.

“If his voice is on autotune, was something wrong with his voice for them to put the autotune on his voice? Or is it just something that they did in the studio to give it that rawness? But how could you know,” Melle argued.
