Despite the controversy surrounding Megan Thee Stallion this summer, the Roc Nation artist has been on a remarkable run. She broke streaming records, performed at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and partnered up with brands such as Revlon and Fashion Nova for lucrative deals.

But arguably her biggest win is grabbing two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles with BeyoncĂ© on the “Savage (Remix)” and Cardi B on “WAP.”

During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Megan spoke on what it’s like working with the two superstars along with her strong friendship with both of them.

“Working with Cardi and BeyoncĂ©, it was two totally different experiences,” Megan said. “BeyoncĂ©’s the OG. Like, she is the standard. You want to be like BeyoncĂ©. You want to grow up and be like BeyoncĂ©. You watch BeyoncĂ© from when you were a kid to this point in life. BeyoncĂ© is somebody that is so top tier, you just feel so great to know that you even made it that you can even be in the room with BeyoncĂ©. I felt like, girl, I was breathing BeyoncĂ©’s air. That is a flex.

“Cardi is like my homegirl. She is so great, she’s so fun. We both are very unapologetically us, and to be two women with big personalities and big confidence and still be able to coexist comfortably with each other, that is like a really big deal to me. I really respect her. I appreciate her. We crack the same jokes and she’s really somebody I really appreciate having in my life.”

Megan’s flex didn’t stop there — she went on to mention the strong relationship she has with JAY-Z and BeyoncĂ©, also known as The Carters, saying “They both text me all the time and send me inspirational things and that is just so crazy.”

Megan is fresh off the release of her debut studio album Good News. The 17-track project has features from DaBaby, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, SZA, City Girls, Lil Durk, Popcaan and more.

“Body,” the third single off the album, has created a new Tik Tok trend where fans attempt to pull off the killer dance moves Meg does in the video.
