Method Man is the latest Hip Hop legend to lend his hand to the cannabis industry and encourage more Black ownership.
The Wu-Tang Clan member recently launched TICAL, a cannabis brand that aims to spark conversations about racial injustice across the globe. The brand shares the title of his 1994 debut album, which featured the hit single “Bring The Pain.”
Meth plans to use TICAL in his activism not only for marijuana legalization but also to combat racism in law enforcement. The first three strains of the brand are named “Cake,” “Gelato” and “Crusher” are on sale at four black-owned dispensaries in Calfornia.
“Personally, it is essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially-biased policing procedures,” the rapper/actor said in a statement.

Meth joins the likes of Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross with a cannabis strain. He previously partnered with his How High co-star and collaborator Redman for the BlazeNow weed locator app.
So far, TICAL has raised $300,000 with New York-based company JLS Fund and according to Bloomberg News, they are planning for a potential $3 million nationwide rollout.
