Dave Chappelle had some fun with Making The Band contestant Dylan Dilinjah in a classic sketch in which he spoofed the show.
According to Dylan, the skit’s popularity ruined his career.
“This is something I didn’t say at all. So, I have no control over this. You said I’m top five rappers. You said I spit hot fire. And I’m over here as a kid saying, ‘what are they talking about?’ Not only that. But right after, anytime I send my music to DJs, they say, ‘that’s the n*gga that Dave Chappelle made fun of, I’m good on that,” Dylan explained.
Sounds pretty rough.
