Lil Uzi Vert has been accused of being a Satanist for quite some time, most recently when he claimed to convert his girlfriend, JT of The City Girls.

“I make a City Girl believe in Satan,” he once rapped.

But in a new interview with GQ, Uzi says that he’s confused about why people think of him that way.

“Do these people think me being Satanic is what helps my success? Or that I’m trying to force people into the occult?” he asked. “But any type of religion is some type of a cult. Being Christian is a cult. You all meet at a place to pray and worship.”

Why do you think Vert is confused about the Satan talk when he delivers lines like the one above and rocks an upside-down cross on his tongue?
