Lockport, N.Y. – Kodak Black has been transferred yet again, this time to the Niagara County Jail in Lockport, New York. The incarcerated rapper revealed his new mailing address on Twitter Wednesday (March 25), also suggesting that coronavirus-related causes prompted his move.

“This Where I’m At Until This Corona shit Ova Wit,” he wrote.

During a video call last Friday (March 20), Kodak detailed how the pandemic had affected his prison life.

“We had lost power like three times,” he said. “Right, corona shit got shit fucked up out there, huh. It’s sad, I just hope that when the world ends I am not in prison bro, cause all these tragedies and shit be sad bro. Like how can this shit happen like that just turn around and kill all these people, like that.”

On March 12, Kodak pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon at the Niagara County Courthouse. The 22-year-old artist and three other men were detained in April 2019 by US Customs and Border Protection at the Canadian-American border, who reportedly found marijuana and guns their vehicle.

According to Buffalo CBS-affiliate WIVB, Kodak’s sentencing for the matter has been rescheduled to Friday (March 27), although he’s not expected to appear in court. He faces two to seven years in prison for the charge, which would be served concurrently with his 44-month federal weapons sentence.

Kodak previously moved prisons after alleging that he was suffering mistreatment at the Miami Federal Detention Center. After accusing prison guards of physical and psychological abuse, Kodak was ultimately transferred to a federal penitentiary in Kentucky, where he’s remained until this latest move.

The embattled rapper has been serving out his three-year and eight-month weapons prison term since he was sentenced on November 13.
