With the release of fifth album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar has amassed his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.

After a five-year hiatus, Kendrick Lamar has once again dominated the charts. With sales of 295,500 equivalent album units, on the week ending May 19th, Lamar’s new album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Currently holding the top spot for the largest selling week of any album this year, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is also the biggest week by equivalent album units since Adele’s 2021 album 30 debuted with 839,000 units in late-November.

Prior to the release of Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Bad Bunny held the No. 1 title for one week with his fourth album Un Verano Sin Ti with 274,000 equivalent album units. A week before that, Future dropped ninth studio album I Never Liked You at No. 1 with 222,000 in sales.

35,000 of Lamar’s album sales came from digital purchases, as the CD version of Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers will release on May 27th. Since the album’s release, Lamar has traveled to Ghana with his longtime partner Whitney Alford, pgLang co-founder Dave Free, photographer Renell Mendrano and more.

In July, Lamar is set to co-headline Rolling Loud Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens with Kanye West and Future. In the same month, the rapper will embark on The Big Steppers Tour with pgLang acts Baby Keem and Tanna Leone who both appears on Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. Tickets for the tour are available now.
