In 2020, Cardi B’s best friend, Yonette “Star Brim” Respass, was one of 18 5-9 Brims, a Blood set, arrested by the Feds for RICO and other crimes.
Star, who was said to be the highest-ranking female in the gang, eventually pled guilty. She got a year and a day and has been locked up since July.

Star will get three years of probation when she is released and will be forbidden from associating with any blood.
This could dampen her relationship with Bardi, who admitted to being a Brim after Tekashi 6ix9ine testified she was a Nine Trey.
