Justin Timberlake didn’t fare well in his ex Britney Spears’ autobiography. Â Among other things, she accused him of cheating and pushing her to get an abortion.
More comically, she dropped a big old W-bomb on the boy-bander-turned-R&B star.
“His band NYSNC was what people back then called ‘so pimp.’ They were white boys but they loved hip-hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group. NSYNC hung out with Black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in,” Britney wrote in The Woman In Me. “One day J [Justin] and I were in New York going to parts of town I had never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. J got all excited and said, so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo’ shiz, fo’ shiz! Ginuwine, what’s up homie?'”
People magazine recently asked Ginuwine about the incident. Â He’s not sure it actually happened.
Yeah, yeah, I definitely heard about it. People were calling about that. But I can tell you I donât remember that happening. I truly donât remember that happening. Â If Justin wouldâve did something like that, I probably wouldâve looked at him like, âWhy are you acting like that?â” he explained. “If he did that, that would be something that I would remember. That wouldâve definitely stuck out. So nah, I donât remember that happening.â
