Hollywood, CA – Jadakiss recently stopped by RealStreetRadio’s office in Hollywood and announced his forthcoming album Ignatius is slated for a February 28 release date. During his discussion with DX, Jada opened up about his thoughts on the state of Hip Hop and even shared his admiration for Young Thug.

“A lot of dudes have moments in Hip Hop, but I like where it’s going; we just got to get to the next stage of what it’s going to be,” he said. “We got to get the authenticity back [and] lyricism along with this new digital stuff that’s going on. It’s coming though.”

Although The LOX MC is a vet in the rap game, he’s open to the new wave of Hip Hop stars. The veteran rapper praised YBN Cordae, Russ, Drake, J. Cole and the often polarizing Young Thug.

“I like Young Thug,” he admitted. “A lot of people might think I don’t like Thug. I listen to Thug more than I listen to a lot of them. You got to listen to the music and absorb it. Some people might see him on the centerfold or something and just automatically judge him. You got to listen. He’s saying incredible shit.”

Look out for DX’s full interview with Jadakiss later this month.
