Like many other artists, DJ Khaled wants to stay connected to his fans during the coronavirus pandemic. On Sunday (May 3), the Grammy Award-winning producer held an Instagram Live session where he was forced to take executive action.
After inviting a woman from the comment section to have a one-on-one chat with him, Khaled is suddenly faced with a half-naked fan who’s attempting to twerk for the very married man. He gets noticeably embarrassed and says, “Oh shit, oh shit” as he throws his hands up.
“Don’t do that,” he says with a smirk on his face. “It’s all love though … I got love and everything. I got a family and everything … I got love.”
As he covers his eyes he repeats, “Just talk to me normal” while the woman proceeds to pour water over her rear.
Although it takes a few seconds longer than it should have, he ultimately kicks her out of the chat, explaining, “No, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t.” He later shared the ridiculous moment on his Instagram page, which included a friendly PSA for his fans.
“I have love for everyone please take it easy when Iām on fan luv ig luv,” he wrote in the caption. “Again I have love for everyone please lets be respectful nothing but love BLESS UP.”
Khaled is married to Nicole Tuck and they share two sons, 3-year-old Ashad and 3-month-old Aalam. Evidently, the 44-year-old has enough respect for Tuck to shut out any risquƩ behavior on his personal Instagram account.
On the flip side, Tory Lanez’s popular Quarantine Radio show was previously shut down for X-rated content. He temporarily migrated to a different Instagram account, but the powers-that-be eventually restored his original account and Quarantine Radio is a thing again ā except it’s much more toned down.
Instagram CEOĀ Adam Mosseri explained to The Shade Room exactly why they had to do it.
āQuarantine Radio is great, so shout out to Tory Lanez for that,ā Mosseri said. āThe lives have been great, the lives with the fans have been great.Ā But you canāt have nudity on Instagram. āThatās part of our community guidelines, itās part of the rules and we canāt make exceptions. And on a couple of those lives, on two accounts, there was nudity so we had to stop the live.
āThereās a short period of time where you canāt go live again. We have to stick to the rules otherwise why do we have them? But generally, big fan of Tory Lanez, big fan of Quarantine Radio. I hope it comes back soon, but no nudity! We canāt have that.ā
And neither can DJ Khaled.
