Cordae has addressed the breakup of his group YBN before, but he never said it was over a fight or major disagreement.

In fact, a few years ago, he said dropping the YBN from his name had to do with branding and ownership.

But the 27-year-old recently said that a big argument caused the split between him and the other two members, YBN Nahmir and Almighty Jay.

“We never recorded a song with all three of us,” said Cordae while talking to YouTuber, Peaks100. “The business side of it was kinda, like, super f*cked up, honestly. N*ggas got into a big argument in f*cking Europe. People say certain things that they can’t take back … It’s still love, but it’s still some sh*t you just can’t take [back], you know what I’m saying? Namir, that’s still my homie … Jay, I still f*ck with bruh.”

Cordae is currently making the media rounds to plug his stellar new album The Crossroads, which sold 10k in its first week.

Charlamagne tha God asked the DMV rhymer if he considered that a flop, but he said those numbers are comparable to the artists who make lyrically-driven rap like he does.
