Busta Rhymes has turned himself in after being charged with three assault charges in the beating of his assistant
Busta was allegedly angry because the assistant, Dashiel Gables, was talking on the phone during work on Tuesday.
The New York Post contacted Gables, but the 50-year-old said he couldn’t comment on the case.
“I can’t mess up my case, bro. It’s just not going to be worth it. An article in the paper as opposed to a six or seven-million-dollar settlement? I’m not risking it, sorry,” he told the paper.
Busta Rhymes has a history of getting violent with underlings, most notoriously throwing a large strawberry protein drink at an employee at a Chelsea gym in 2015.
Busta was released on bail and is due in court on February 2.
