Bronny James will wear the number 9 as a Los Angeles Laker to pay tribute to the late Juice WRLD.

“Juice has just been a big part of me keeping calm in situations I’ve been through,” Bronny said in a press conference.  “Just pay homage to him, especially since he passed.

Before he died of a drug overdose, Juice repped the number 9, often expressed as 999, which is the devil’s sign of 666 reversed.

“Taking whatever hell, whatever bad situation or whatever struggle you’re going through and turning it into something positive,” Juice told MTV about 999 in 2018.

Bronny James just signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract with the Lakers despite being an undersized guard who doesn’t shoot well and had a very mediocre freshman year at USC.

Of course, he’s the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James.  (And also came back from a serious heart issue, which could have contributed to his poor performance in college.)
