In November, Billboard weirdly named Beyonce the “biggest pop star” of the 21st century. What made it strange is Billboard does the charts. If you go by music sales — the perfect measure of pop success — Bey certainly isn’t the biggest pop star of the century, even though her career spans all 25 years[…]
Probably no one saw this coming in 2025, but LiAngelo Ball has a viral hit with his song “Tweaker.” He released it on January 3, and has gotten a lot of celebrity co-signs. Boosie Badazz and Moneybagg Yo said they want to get on the song. Plus, Lil Yachty showed himself dancing to it. Freddie[…]
The reviews for Lil Baby’s WHAM album weren’t all that good. Its sales are harder to classify. HitsDailyDouble is projecting Baby’s fourth album will do 130K in its first week and top the Billboard charts. That’s a drop from the roughly 200K his last two albums did in their first seven. However, it’s a pretty[…]

Update: Drake’s team says it’s all fake. Chris Blake, a marketing manager and former friend of Drake and OVO, has posted a pretty wild set of DMs between him and Drake. Blake was miffed that Drake unfollowed him and confronted The Boy. A mostly uninteresting conversation ensued. But it contained two very interesting tidbits. We[…]

Elliott Wilson and Drake used to be cool with each other. That changed after Wilson said Drake doesn’t do enough urban interviews. 50 Cent was among those who noticed that Busta Rhymes had been looking bloated in his middle age. Not so anymore. The 52-year-old has gone the route of Ice Spice and Fat Joe and has lost much weight. Busta has cut 64 pounds since the fall of 2023. While the weight loss may be due[…]
It’s been a tough run for Ice Spice. Her (likely) Ozempic routine has her melting away, much to many of her admirers’ chagrin. Her live shows aren’t going well. And now her sales are falling apart. Ice Spice capped off 2024 by dropping the Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl deluxe version. Nobody’s buying it. The[…]
Texas artist OG 2 Low could be considered an under-the-radar rapper, but that’s quickly changing because of a viral video. While being interviewed on the 1 on 1 W/ Mike D podcast, 2 Low accidently shot himself in the leg. “Who shot who? Somebody got shot?” asked Mike D. “You good?” “I hope,” 2 Low[…]

Skip Bayless is being sued for offering Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji $1.5 million for sex, and for improperly touching her. Oddly, those details aren’t what everyone is talking about. Instead, the focus has been on the lawsuit’s focus on the sex life of former Undisputed moderator Joy Taylor, who is accused in sworn legal[…]
Is Ice Spice’s sudden lack of weight impacting her ability to perform. The 25-year-old is in Australia, we guess, getting the island nation ready for its Drake invasion. Her show Down Under went poorly. She arrived 20 minutes late and only did three songs. Ice Spice booed off stage in Australia after showing up 20[…]

J. Cole left Drake high and dry last summer when he decided to exit the beef Kendrick had started with him and Drake. LeBron James also ditched Drake, his longtime friend, around then. Drizzy appears to be talking to either one or both of them with these bars on his “Fighting Irish” freestyle. “Talkin’ ’bout[…]
