Kali has a moderate hit with “Area Codes”.

And, no, it’s not a cover or remake of Ludadcris’s 2001 smash hit of the same name, even though the track’s hooks are very similar.

In fact, the 22-year-old claims had no idea Luda had a track named “Area Codes.”

“Like, I never heard the Ludacris song before,” she told Complex. “So when people asked me that, I truly didn’t know what they were talking about. It was just super organic. When I hear people saying, ‘Oh, this is a Ludacris homage,’ I’m like, ‘Okay, but I really didn’t know anything about it.’ It was just like I literally felt like I got hoes in different area codes.”

What do you think?  It’s a little hard to believe the Luda track didn’t seep in subconsciously.
