Alfred Banks has teamed up with Albert Allenback, a member of the Grammy-nominated band Tank And The Bangas, to form SaxKixAve. The New Orleans-based duo formally introduces themselves with the release of their debut project I Don’t Wear Suits.
“I’m so happy to have this music out,” Banks tells RealStreetRadio. “This project marks me finally being comfortable with showing the world my more funny, silly side. This is some of the best writing I have ever done, and I hope it’s the people’s soundtrack to their quarantine.”
Allenback adds, “These songs are special to me because in a way they document me and Alfred working together and becoming friends over the past year. And in each, we express ourselves and entertain in a way that’s very important right now in kind of an absurd universal situation.”
