Los Angeles, CA – For four years, YG has successfully branded his 4Hunnid imprint as a record label, fashion tag and a catchphrase.

On Wednesday (February 26), the Bompton-bred rap star entered a joint venture with Epic Records to exclusively release, distribute, and market new music from the Los Angeles-based independent record label.

The soon to be 30 year old was previously signed to Interscope Records and put out several multi-platinum hits such as “My Nigga” (featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan), “Big Bank” (featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj) “Who Do You Love?” and “Why You Always Hatin?” (both featuring Drake; the latter additionally featuring Kamiyah).

“Me and my team have been doing innovative, legendary stuff for years—helping keep the West Coast alive,” YG said press release. “Now, Epic comes through at the best possible time with a platform for our expansion. I’m proud of this opportunity and will make the most of it.”
