Drake is no longer seeking any legal action against Universal or Spotify.

Drake has withdrawn his petition against UMG & Spotify for discovery after they sat down and came to an agreement today.

“The petitioner hereby voluntarily discontinues,” reads the notice to withdraw. “Without costs to any party.”

Details of the negotiation haven’t been disclosed.   Insiders suggest the discussions were collaborative and aimed at avoiding prolonged litigation.

Drake had accused Universal Music Group, Spotify, and iHeartRadio of engaging in a “pay-to-play scheme” to artificially inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us.”

IHeartRadio wasn’t mentioned in the withdrawal notice, so Drake could still be seeking legal action against the radio giant.
