The jury in the YNW Melly double murder trial could not come up with a verdict, so the judge declared a mistrial.
Melly, who is accused of killing his YNW crewmates Juvy and Sakchaser, will be tried again.
The new trial will likely start very soon.
When it does, the prosecution may pursue a different strategy.
They had planned to try YNW Bortlen –who was in the car with Nelly when he allegedly shot Juvy and Sakchaser– after trying Melly
Now, they may combine the double murder cases. This would allow them to introduce different evidence.
