On Thursday, SZA dropped her long-anticipated five-year anniversary deluxe edition of Ctrl with seven new tracks.

New surprises are in store from SZA. After teasing five unreleased songs on the deluxe edition of her 2017 debut album Ctrl, on Thursday (June 9), the singer-songwriter dropped seven new tracks on the album’s re-release, also celebrating it’s five-year anniversary. The new tracks include “Love Galore (Alt Version), “2AM,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” “Tread Carefully,” “Awkward” and “Jodie.”

The vocalist – whose legal name is Solána Imani Rowe – also clarified that the tracks were recorded between 5-8 years ago.

Earlier in the week, Rowe hinted at the deluxe edition of Ctrl.

Although Rowe has not yet released a follow-up to her debut album, after winning Best Pop Duo/Performance alongside Doja Cat for “Kiss Me More, she announced that her sophomore album was completed.

“I just finished it up in Hawaii,” she said. “And it’s coming soon! I think it’s my most unisex album. I think it’s for everyone.”

During MET Gala 2022, the singer also spoke with Vogue about getting closer to the release of her sophomore album. “[Now that the album] like ready to go, more than I’ve ever felt before. “So, this summer, it’ll be like a…it’ll be a SZA Summer,” she said.

Along with “Kiss Me More,” Rowe has released singles in 2020 and 2021 including “I Hate U,” “Good Days,” and “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign, and has been featured on “No Love” with Summer Walker and Cardi B, the “fue mejor” remix with Kali Uchis and “The Other Side” with Justin Timberlake.
