Maxwell Returns to Release Lush Single “Off,” Announces 2022 Tour

“Off” is a blissful, soft ride that preps listeners for what’s to come from the beloved singer.

Maxwell emerges from the ashes and releases a new single “Off.”

The soul singer who has been a major factor behind the execution of modern neo-soul in the past 25 years also announces a new album that will serve as the third in a trilogy: blacksummer’NIGHT. The first edition arrived in 2009, while the second was unveiled in 2016. These releases make up two out of the five albums Maxwell has ever shared. blacksummers’NIGHT will arrive in the spring of 2022. 

Maxwell has also announced a tour alongside Joe and Anthony Hamilton. 

As for “Off,” it’s a blissful, soft ride that preps listeners for what’s to come from the beloved singer. Hod David, a longtime collaborator, and Maxwell co-produced the cut. In its entirety, the track is stunning, it’s seductive but it’s also riveting.
