Kanye West isn’t the only album dropping this week. Brittany Howard, EST Gee, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more round out our list of the best hip-hop and R&B albums of the week.

The world is still waiting for Kanye West to drop DONDA, but don’t turn on that podcast yet. There is still plenty of new music that dropped this week. It’s New Music Friday time, and there is still plenty of jams to tap into.

Although not heavy on A-listers, there’s a lot of good music from extremely talented artists. Brittany Howard reworked her Jamie album; Leon Bridges released his third solo album, Gold-Diggers Sound; BJ The Chicago Kid dropped a quick EP called 4AM; and Taphari dropped her debut album Blind Obedience

If you like your music to have a much harder edged, tap into EST Gee’s latest mixtape, Bigger Than Life Or Death; Brooklyn rapper Bizzy Banks‘ Same Energy; and Ransom and Big Ghost LTD’s Heavy Is The Head.

We should also mention there’s new releases from Dave, Yung Bleu, Childish Major, and more. Check out the best new hip-hop and R&B albums of the week below.
