It’s been quite some time since Migos dropped a full-length project. Culture II dropped in 2018 and fans have been waiting for their Quarantine Mixtape Quavo teased on Twitter in April. The mixtape was supposed to be the lead-up to Culture III, but those plans may be over as Quavo has given an update on their next studio album.

“This year, you know, we had to push back a lot ’cause of COVID,” Quavo said during a visit to Kevin Durant’s The ETCs podcast. “Right now we just waiting on Culture III. We done with the album, we just waiting on 2021, so everything can crank up. We don’t wanna drop it right now. We want the commotion, we want to move, we want to be outside. We want to drop it and go on tour.”

The COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on things and Migos had originally planned to release Culture III this year. But with the music industry suffering immensely from the global shutdown, the trio decided to hold off on the project because the rollout needs the full outside experience as Quavo explained to KD.

“We want to have an album listening and have people in the thang and really hearing the album, like, I can’t drop no album and let the internet judge my album,” the rapper said with a laugh. “It just don’t make sense. I just want to be with the people. I want to touch the people and that’s what we gon’ do at the top of the year.”

Migos have been in a lavish car mood lately this holiday season. On top of giving an update on Culture III, Quavo gave his girlfriend Saweetie a hell of a gift on Tuesday (December 22). In the clip shared by Akademiks on Instagram, Quavo pulled back a black veil to reveal an all-white Bentley with a red bow placed on the hood.

The Icy Girl was floored after seeing the car and could barely contain her excitement when she hugged it and jumped around in joy. The gift comes days after Cardi B surprised her husband Offset with a bronze Lamborghini Aventador.
