Dr. Dre and Eminem were a Hip Hop dream team when they first collaborated in the 1990s. And according to actor/rapper Page Kennedy, history is about to repeat itself. Last week, Kennedy sent out a pair of tweets that got Slim Shady Stans salivating at the thought of some new Dre and Eminem music.

This Dr. Dre album sounding [fire],” Kennedy tweeted. “Hope y’all get to hear.”

When pressed for more details on a potential follow-up to Eminem’s latest album Music To Be Murdered By, Kennedy replied, “Well he def on this one lol.”

Speaking to HipHopDX, Kennedy confirmed a new collaboration between Em and Dre definitely exists, but he isn’t 100 percent sure it was actually end up on the final version of the project.

“Of course Eminem is on Dre’s album,” he tells DX. “I definitely heard a song with them two, but who knows what actually makes the final cut.”

Dre hasn’t released a full-length studio album since 2015’s Compton, which doubled as the soundtrack for the Straight Outta Compton film. It marked Dre’s first full-length release since 1999’s 2001 and featured guest appearances from Shady, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Anderson .Paak and more.

Chatter surrounding the nearly mythical Compton follow-up has been ongoing ever since. In 2019, Flying Lotus told Billboard, “It’s real, man. It exists. The version I heard is the sequel to Compton. It makes sense after Compton, I think. It makes sense, but I like it better than Compton.”

Several West Coast legends have been spending time together as of late. Earlier this month, Snoop shared several photos to his Instagram account featuring Xzibit, Dre, The D.O.C, Too $hort and DJ Quik. Although it was later discovered to be in honor of Warren G’s birthday, Snoop is currently working on his next album Take It From A G, which is expected to arrive next month.

Meanwhile, Kennedy is working on his forthcoming album #Page and is expected to drop a new video for “Shine” on Monday (November 22).
