After the Covid-19 pandemic, it was obvious that we needed a more sustainable music industry, and the innovative platform Savage Ticket made it their duty to create that sustainability. The platform aims to create an environment where music enthusiasts, producers, professionals, amateurs, and just music lovers can easily find each other, have more communication, and collaborate. The platform has already donated $50,000 to The Jazz Foundation of America’s COVID-19 Musicians’ Emergency Fund from the Kent and Martha Savage Family Charitable Fund, intending to help musicians who have suffered from the pandemic. Their new project is the ‘HOW I FELL IN LOVE WITH JAZZ’ Video Contest.
The prizes for the winners are as follows:
- 1st prize – $2,500
- 2nd prize – $1,000
- (100) 3rd prize winners/crowd favorites – $100 each
To win your prize, all you need to do is shoot a 60-second video in which you explain how you fell in love with jazz music, as the contest’s name implies, and that’s it! The professional jury will evaluate the videos and decide on the winners. The jury team consists of such prominent names in jazz as Al Di Meola, Dorthaan Kirk, Karrin Allison, Houston Person, Noriko Ueda. The content was originally planned to be held from Oct 1 until Oct 30, but it was extended until the 21st of November, giving you 21 more days to shoot a video and win money by talking about your passion and love for jazz.
