Yung Bleu is about to be exposed to a whole new audience thanks to the power of a Drake collaboration. The Alabama rapper took to social media to announce Drizzy will be featured on a remix of his song “You’re Mines Still” that’s dropping on Friday (October 16).

“Bleu Vandross x THE BOY @champagnepapi !” he wrote in the caption. “Your Mines still remix This Friday OVO/VMG!”

Bleu also shared a screenshot of his direct messages with Drake on Instagram. After talking about the possibility of working together, the Toronto rapper then asked him to send over the track with room to add his own vocals.

“Let’s do that remix,” Drake said. “I just need a version of that song with a open verse.”

A clearly excited Bleu responded with, “Broooooo !!! Wtf ! Helll yea. Doing it right now !!!!,” before Drake hit him back saying, “Let’s get itttt.”

The original version of “You’re Mines Still” is taken from his Love Scars: The 5 Stages of Emotions EP, which was released on October 2.

On Friday (October 9), a fan noticed Drake had followed Bleu on Instagram and liked his post, while suggesting the new project put him on Drizzy’s radar.

“DRAKE JUST FOLLOWED YUNG BLEU AND LIKED HIS PIC ON IG !” they wrote on Twitter. “LOVE SCARS DID THE JOB BRO I WANNA SEE THAT COLLAB THE WORLD GONE WAKE UP.”

Bleu responded to the tweet with a hushed face emoji.

In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Bleu talked about his current label situation with Boosie Badazz’s Badazz Music Syndicate.

“I came to Boosie and told him I still wanted to rock with the brand but not signed to Columbia no more,” he said. “I just wanted to rock independently, without a major label and Boosie was cool with it. He just wanted me to give him his profit and participation on the albums that I had left with him and I did.”

“I was going to do that either way whether we had a contract or not because I had albums still left with him and he ain’t have to let me go. He ain’t have to let me go free and go sign a deal, you feel me? But he did. So it like, shit. I respect the man and we got a different type of relationship. I’m still Badazz though. I’m Badazz for life.”
