Rico Nasty’s love for all things surreal goes up a notch in her brand new video for “Own It.”
The Maryland based artist rocks everything from her hair braided with her name spelled out to a headdress made out of blunts, kicking it amongst taxidermied animals and baby chicks and more. “Talk my shit, I ain’t gonna stop / When I walk in, jaws gonna drop / They all in my face, wanna know what I got,” she raps. The track is set to appear on her upcoming Nightmare Vacation album which is due later this year.
Rico’s buzzing name has caused others to want more for the 23-year-old. When it came to dream collaborations, rising hitmaker Flo Milli suggested an all-star lineup for a “Ladies Night” style track and included some big hitters to boot.
“I’m going to tell you the truth because I’m just saying, Cardi B,” Flo told HipHopDX. “I would also say Mulatto. Rico Nasty is there too I love her and I like Trina a lot.”
“I think Kash Doll would be dope on that song too. I don’t know if you know her but Omeretta is a dope-ass fucking rapper and she’s from Atlanta. She’s very lyrical and I really admire that about her,” she continued. “I also think Megan Thee Stallion would be dope as fuck on this song too. I think she definitely came in arms swinging and proved herself. So yeah, all of these women are really killing it for real.”
