Lil Baby finding success in his love life comes during a year in which his career’s been doing extremely well. He earned his first No. 1 album when February’s My Turn LP debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. The project ended up spending five nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 in total.
After releasing a deluxe edition of My Turn, Lil Baby dropped what would become his biggest single to date. In the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder and amid widespread Black Lives Matter demonstrations, the multi-platinum selling rapper delivered a protest anthem titled “The Bigger Picture.” It peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100, becoming the highest-charting song of his career.
In addition to his solo work, Lil Baby has established himself as a highly coveted guest in the music industry. The growing demand for his services inspired him to increase the price of his features.
One of Lil Baby’s most surprising guest spots emerged via Verzuz when Monica debuted their “Trenches” collab. Kanye West has also called the Atlanta-bred artist his favorite rapper and expressed his desire to collaborate.
