Freddie Gibbs and Akademiks have been engaged in an online war of words since Monday (June 29). And judging by the consistent social media posts, they aren’t stopping anytime soon.
On Tuesday (June 30), the Bandana co-mastermind posted an Instagram photo with Akademiks’ head photoshopped onto a Teletubby’s body, a reference to one of his insults from their initial virtual tussle.
He wrote in the caption, “@akademiks I ain’t done with U pussy. I’mma torture U until U quit your job. And whoever else want smoke holla at Big Rabbit.”

The melee kicked off after the Everyday Struggle co-host appeared to take offense to Gibbs’ assessment of his former boss Jeezy. During a recent conversation with Bootleg Kev, the Warner Music Group artist referred to Jeezy as “musically irrelevant,” which was evidently all the ammo Aks needed.
The outspoken media personality then determined Gibbs to be “absolutely irrelevant” if the Snowman is, causing an avalanche of insults to cascade in his direction. As the shots began to fly, Aks explained why he has such a big problem with Gibbs’ attitude.
“I can’t stand niggas who finally get luke warm after almost a decade and a half and start talking shit,” he tweeted. “enjoy ya lil hot streak nigga… but dont get it twisted.. U JUST GOT ON. and u not no legend like JEEZY is.”

Meanwhile, Gibbs wanted proof Aks “didn’t have oral sex with Tekashi” 6ix9ine while offering $5,000 to any woman who would admit to sleeping with Akademiks. Subsequently, Aks got 6ix9ine on the phone to come to his rescue and the polarizing rapper ended up blaming Nine Trey Gangsta Blood member Anthony “Harv” Ellison for shooting at Gibbs in 2014.
Ellison was one of two defendants convicted as a result of 6ix9ine’s testimony last October. Ellison was found guilty of kidnapping in aid of racketeering as well as racketeering conspiracy and maiming and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.
